July 21st, 2004 by owenamYesterday, David and I discovered that between the two of us we have 21 pair of shoes — a somewhat alarming statistic, though it does include the whole range from slippers to winter boots, as well as such niche footwear as rock-climbing shoes and biking shoes.
These 42 shoes strewn about the living room floor did not, fortunately, prevent several friends from coming over to watch Lance Armstrong whoop up in Stage 15 of the Tour de France. Most of those same friends were present at Kevin’s this morning to watch him whoop up again in the Alpe D’Huez time trial. That guy is quite a whooper.
