Wintersunglässe

That’s German for “wearning sunglasses in the winter,” which is what I did on my way to work this morning. I was pretty excited becase after two days of ice and snow (in that order), a sunny commute adds about 20 degrees to my psychological thermometer for the rest of the day. This is especially helpful on days with single-digit high temperatures. Days which begin rather inauspiciously, with two sequentially spilled cups of miso soup. Today, for example.

Fortunately, in college I deveoped the habit of fleeing to San Antonio at the first sight of Real Winter™.
