No kidding — not 12 hours ago I was thinking how cool it would be to take a picture of yourself every day for, like, 6 years and then make them into a movie and maybe post it to the internet.
Turns out it would be exactly this cool. I am instantly derivative!
So beware! kottke.org is a vengeful blog, and if you stray from His URL you will become lost in the webderness. For through Him all things are blogged, and without Him nothing is blogged.

The worst part of today’s ride home wasn’t the rain (riding through heavy rain makes you feel like a badass) or the wind (it was going my way) — it was the sweat that the rain washed out of the pads in my helmet and into my eyes.
UPDATE: Uhh… right. Maybe next time I’ll stop and go inside. 3″ hail? That’s sick.
UPDATE 2: OMG, kottke linked to the same thing as me!!! i totaly ruel teh intarwb!

Not sure why I didn’t mention this sooner.
50centuries is open for business as of last weekend. Follow along as I work towards a challenging, arbitrary goal for no other reason than to feel like I am accomplishing something.
And if you’d like, come along for a ride or two.

I can’t think of a better way to remind myself that I’m still here, and all I need to get where I’m going is a few pounds of steel, a few ounces of rubber, and time.

The Harris Cyclery website is a fun place to poke around, partly because they have some nice bike parts, partly because each page is so lovingly handcrafted, and partly because you find things like this:
Mini and Clip-on Fenders
If you look at most bicycle catalogues, you’ll find a wide variety of shorty or mini fenders, some that attach to the seatpost, some that attach to the fork crown, some that attach to the frame down tube.
These are crap!
Nobody who has ever ridden in the wet with real, full-coverage fenders would ever want those, so we don’t sell the silly things.
