Those of you who had to stand around Magers and Quinn waiting for me to finish flipping through a book on the history of Uptown will understand why James Lileks’ Minneapolis pages are my current favorite spot on the web.

I have been looking for this picture ever since I moved here: the intersection of Hennepin & Lyndale, pre-Interstate.
